This will sound gross......but showering is a huge problem for me when I don't feel like getting out of bed. Why is it that I can shower and dress and go to work, but when I have a day off......I don't get dressed or shower. Mike asks me nearly everyday "did you shower today?" I just get overwhelmed with getting in the shower, getting cleaned up and finding something to wear, do my hair and my make up. Why bother with all that when I am not going to go anywhere anyway? Jammies and a bathrobe are sufficient.

I hate this depression...I'm praying that my new doctor at UM will have a fresh perspective on this illness. They asked me if I would be interested in studies.....they are a research university. I said why the hell not? What do I have to lose really? The worst that could happen is I get in the control group that doesn't get the medicine, and I crash. But what if a new medicine works? I'm looking forward to meeting this doctor. I have to drive 90 miles to get there...but i think it will be worth it. maybe then, I can shower everyday.

Hang in there and I will too....

Love, Mikki
