Subject: Force myself into the shower
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "Showers .... Mikki" on 16:34:42 01/08/07 Mon

I need to get in the shower every day...even when totally depressed...I usually shower at night, as I hate to get into my clean bed, without showering...what I do do, is I buy really great smelling soaps, citrus, lavender, vanilla, my sister bought me a chocolate one..that was just way funny, but it really picked up my mood...even if I get in, and just let it run over me...but what I do do, if I am really really down..I get into a nice warm shower, gradually turn the heat up...then shock myself with COLD water...amazing how fast that wakes up your other senses. I learned that from a massage therapist years ago..and I still do it...she was also the one that introduced me to aromatherapy....
I know how hard it is to get motivated...and somedays like you, I don't get in the shower..then I sleep on the couch. LOL. And watch TV all night...But on days I know I am slipping...I don't even think about how tired I am or how exhausting it will be...I just do it...Lorne thinks it is funny..cause he hears the "Yikes" when the cold hits me...LOL.

Hugs
Rhonda
