Subject: Need another VENT...sorry, but really passionate about this

I am canadian, I am native...I am swedish..my grandfather was swedish...not a great guy...he raped my 12 year old grandmother and kept her locked up in a shed.....

My dad was sent to residential schools..where he was raped..by the men of GOD...

My mom, was beaten..strapped...so badly she could not lay on her back for a month..because she spoke Indian in school..

My sister..was raped at the age of 10...my brothers..were molested..I was raped and molested...all because we were on a RESERVE...and these were...men of GOD!...

We were and still are treated as HEATHENS...because we don't believe in the GOD that WHITE MEN believe in...

Well...Australians..can't fathom why aboriginals are angry..and indignant..towards them....and they dont go to CHURCH!...

Americans...can't believe the crime of the blacks..and they don't understand why they are so angry...

Canadians..are more aware of Quebec..then of the genocide of the natives of the maritimes..and the Eskimo..and we are all supposed to just "get over it"...and "live for today"...

Well..geez...it was not so long ago...my grandmother, was in my lifetime...my dad...was in my lifetime..my mom..was in my lifetime..we were raised by people that were injured, raped...tortured and humiliated...don't you think they brought this home and into their adulthood.

If one more person tells me that I should get over it..that I should not be a victim...YOU FIRST!!!!
