One of the great things about this board..is that we can speak our mind...whether we agree or not..

What you said, was very true and I understood where it was coming from, and I thank you for thinking of my girl first above anything else.

Lorne and I are both very frustrated with Ali right now..her attitude towards school and work, are very poor...and we know that she is very very afraid of the future and of having to "grow up"...we have talked, and talked and talked...we have assured her that she is welcome to stay...but Lorne and I are both very organized and very neat people...and she has to understand...that we expect her to respect that.

That said..we have given her her "freedom"..she does not have a curfew...she does not have restrictions on her time, she just has to make an effort to do well in school..which she can, this girl is very intelligent...and she has to call us to leave us a number, so we know where she is.

She quit school a few years ago..and is one year behind, but she seems to be trying to do the same thing this year, fear of graduating. I remember it...but failing, was just not an option...We don't ask for top grades, only that she try and do her best.

She hollered at her dad last week...and Lorne, walked out of her room, visibly upset and hurt that she would lash out at him...he is a very quiet man...anyway...it took me awhile to calm down after that...and since then, her attitude has just sucked. I don't know if it is from guilty feelings...or just...fuck you, I will do what I want.

I won't talk to her, until I am totally calm...I don't want to say or do anything hurtful...but I will talk to her.
