Subject: Predicament....

My new condo is a fixer upper. The hand rail for the entrance stairway is off. I needed a second one also to accommodate me being on crutches. I asked my brother-in-law to install them and told him my son could help. I told him how important it is to my son to help. My son is helping me restore my home also. My son so wants to be part of my family, which is he already is but wants to feel an active part. I told this to my brother-in-law and sister a couple of times. It was getting close to discharge day. I called and left a message on their answering machine to have my brother-in-law call Tom so they could get the job done. Today, my brother-in-law called here to say he had the job done and that there is a little cliché in the job that will be okay. My brother-in-law obviously did not have my son help with the job. Now, how do I tell my son this? Do I tell my son? Do I wait until he asks me? What do I say when does? Do I call my brother-in-law and ask him to tell my son why he did not ask my son to help. My son is going to feel hurt.

On the good side of it, my brother-in-law paid for the materials and did the job for free as a gift.

Do any of you have any feedback or suggestions? Thanks in advance if you do or just thanks for reading this.

RICHARD
