Yes Mikki, you are right. I am going to go ahead with getting his car fixed this time. I feel I need to keep my word. I am also this week going to get in touch with his landlord to get off the cosign agreement, as agreed upon when first signed the lease: after five months I could do so. I am going get an appointment with my therapist to get some validation, which I am sure she will give being she has been leaning to this anyway. There is a pattern with restaurants when they are about to let a cook go. They start giving the cooks less hours hoping the cook will quit on their own thus avoiding unemployment fees. The restaurant that he is working at now has started doing this. I might not able to get off the cosign agreement because although my son has paid his rent, he has not done so on time all the time. Some of the time I paid with my checks also, which also tells the landlord that Tom has problems keeping his rent up. It will be cheaper to pay the rent 'if'he gets evicted for a couple of months while getting another tenant than keep soupporting my son.

Yes you we are good enough, great enough of friends to share with me what is real, for sure. I almost feel relieved already knowing my settlement money is going to belong only to me again. However, I will hold on to that feeling for a moment until I see it through… easier said than done… but I am sure I will succeed with the help of my therapist and friends as with you.

Thanks,
RICHARD
