Subject: Who do you feel more comfortable with?

I just had a question......do you feel more comfortable hanging out with men, or with women? I see a woman therapist for an intake interview, and I am going in with a bad attitude already. I don't like women.....I feel like I am always in competition with them all the time. I work with a group of women, and although I love all of them dearly and would do anything for them, I can't hang out with them after work. I feel inferior somehow to them. But put me in a room full of guys drinking beer and watching a Michigan game.....I am right at home. I guess that is why I have always had male therapists. I feel more comfortable talking to men. Now I am seeing a woman, and I am scared shitless. I feel like I am going to be judged or something. Like I'm not quite the woman she is. Isn't that stupid? I know it is because of all my issues with my mother. The therapist from hell said I needed a woman therapist, mainly to not have the sexual feelings get in the way. I don't know if this is what I want.....I have a hard time even going out to lunch with a good female friend sometimes. I keep thinking they are going to be like my mother and yell at me all the time. I find that a group of women talking about furniture and scrapbooking to bore me to tears. I want to hear what the guys are doing.
It's alot more fun.

So how do you feel? More comfortable with men or women in your daily lives? Am I just being neurotic about this? I'm scared to see this therapist today.

Love,Mikki
