Subject: Bachelor Mockingbird????!!!!!

Well, once again, I have a mockingbird who sings all freaking night right outside my window. He does one sound for about 5 repeats, changes to another for about 5 repeats, then another, then another....never pausing in between. He sings at the top of his lungs. It's after midnight and he's really going at it. I thought birds were quiet when it's dark. I looked it up on the internet and several different sources says that when this happens it is a single male mockingbird looking for a mate. Well I hope to hell he finds one and soon. I'd go find him one myself if I knew where to look. This happened last year about this time of year and went on for a couple weeks. The sources online says he'll shut up when he finds a mate. Please let that be soon. I had to bring ear plugs home from work so maybe I'll get some sleep because he shows no sign of shutting up. He's in the top of a tree right by my bedroom window which is right at my bed. Last night I tried to throw things up in the tree to scare him off. Didn't work. Big mouth bird!!!
