We certainly seem to have a problem this season with grip (that or everyone is trying to do a Shane Geraghty nd fool the defence!) and I assume this could be alleviated by different, or longer, studs. That said, and I am sure there is someone who will know the answer, do you then sacrifice something in terms of manoeuvrability and/or pace?

Discuss.

Furthermore, now I think about it again, surely in this professional era, it's not even as complicated as changing studs. They probably carry several pairs of boots with different studs.
