Our Rocky Mt mare ( chocolate with flaxen mane & tail) foaled a john mule, also chocolate with "white" mane and tail, has anyone seen any mules of this color? Would we consider him a "rare color"? Just curious. westoncreek@aol.com

We raise gaited mules from our Missouri Fox Trotter mares. We don't always have a mule for sale but inquiries are welcome as are questions about gaited mules. I love the temperaments of our FT mules. They are born wanting to be with you and willing to try anything you want. At a week old mine are already picking up their feet for you when you ask, very trainable. We have our own jack that produces gait from gait producing Mammoth jackstock. Our mules mature at 14 to 16 hands and we sell weanlings to adults.

Please send info on stock for sale. I am 66 but have raised and shown Walking horses for 30 years. I could use a weanling, yearling or young horse started or one very well broke. At my age, I need sensible, no spooks and smooth. Where are you located?

Rose,
So sorry I didn't see this post to get back to you before now.
We don't presently have any mules for sale. They usually sell pretty fast and some before they are foaled. We don't raise but 2 or 3 a year so they can get the most time and attention. I don't know how people do it that raise so many. I take a lot of time and care in raising mine, they are handled daily and it shows when it comes time to offer them for sale.
We only have 2 due in 2007, one from my mare Fancy, who has proven her self to be a consistent mule mom supreme with 3 outstanding mules foaled. The second mare is Crystal. She has only had horse foals for us before, this is her first mule foal and if this one is anything as spectacular as her horse foals, we got a winner!
Please forgive me for not posting sooner. I just found this site again.
Cathy
