Yes you should be worried. I am a horses shoer and people ask me this all the time. You should watch and see how much he is taking in. I will tell you why, because he can founder anmd then you have a big problem for a tiny animal. I also own minis and you should feed them about a puond of hay morning and nite. About a hald of a pound of grain a day. If he is in pasture then I would not get him any hay or grain. Having a mini to fat can be just as bad has having them to thin.
