Subject: Mules for Parents & Child with Disabilities

Love your website! I am an Old-Time Mule Rider & adore the longears.

My daughter, Reina, has chronic leg weakness, balance problems and sensory integration deficits due to her PDD/Autistic disorder. Hippotherapy addresses all these, plus is great enjoyment & fantastic experience for the child.

The therapeutic riding programs avail. to her are very expensive and difficult to reach. I also enjoy riding and had horses/mules for years. I want my own riding animal (mule) so I can go on rides with Reina and get her the type & freq. of therapy she needs.

Looking for an older or rehab animal, we cannot pay purchase price of "new". I can train. Have some equip. I need a mule at least 15h w/good weight bearing capacity (I am 6'1") and Reina needs a smaller animal (14h OK). Looking for free pasture w/winter shelter near Newmarket NH or Lee NH. I will take excellent care of our longears. I just need space, and a little charity from someone in the community who is more fortunate than we.

Hippotherapy is a need for us -- not recreation. All help & advice from others will be deeply appreciated.
