hello everyone we are narrowing down our herd we have a zdonk and a pair of full blood mare mule sisters for sale.

Bert-man my 13 month old mini which I purchased 2 weeks ago seems to have a growing belly!! He was on little to no grass and eating grain 2x a day before coming to me. With me he was fed grain 1x a day and this week really none....he has lots of hick green st. Augustine to eat as well as grass hay at free will......
Is he just indulding cause he can or should I be concerned......his stool is normal.

I am looking for a loud leopard mule with saddle and packing experience. I am not a trainer, but I do fall in love with my mount. So, I'd prefer to buy exactly what I'm a dreaming of if I can locate him/her. I need it to be gentle and very well trained. I'm thinking 9 to 15 years old. I love the look of a well conformed appy mule in full leopard. Something about the dalmation spots that make me feel safer when hunting and it turns a few heads too. A friend is going to accompany me on a trip from the San Franisco Bay Area to look at a horse for sale (for me). However, SHE is looking for a trail/english mule. Probably no smaller than 15.1 or 15.2, and of riding age. She prefers a john, though she'd consider a molly. An Appy would be a bonus, but not required. Is anyone aware of any mules along our route - Mostly Highway 5 to Bakersfield, that we could stop and look at, or in the Bakersfield area. Not sure if this is a Q/A message board, but I'll give it a shot. We have 3 donkeys, and we feed them hay once in the morning, once at night. They get 3 flakes between the three of them each time. But even 2 hours after feeding them, they bray and bray wanting more food. Please don't come down on us too hard if we're feeding them way to little....we are rookies at this large animal stuff. In the warmer months they are "mowing" all day in the pasture, so they seem fine then. How many flakes per donkey? Thanks.

Hello,
We just took in a BLM mustang/or is it a hinny? Is there a way to tell for sure if a animal is a horse or hinny with out blood work. This little 3 year old has mule coloring(bay with light brown trim), horse ears, stands very upright on short straight hooves, and has a mule (rounded head). We have had six long time horse/mule people look at him and they can not agree. If his ears were longer it would be a no brainer.

Hello...I am adopting 3 donkeys and am wondering what I should use for flooring in the 20ft by 20ft barn I'm building. I live in Michigan and am worried about cold/mud. I have 4x4's and treated 4x8's. Should I use these for this winter and then pour cement in the spring (with mats on top)? I could really use the advice! Thanks.

We have a 5 month old dark colored mule. Real sweetheart. We bought her mother last Christmas not knowing that she was bred. We have no room for her! Would make fantastic companion. Used to goats, llamas, big horses, dogs, chickens, cats, kids..... Southeast Wisconsin.
