Either one of these or both were used: Black helmet, large circle logo with "Steel" inside and/or Black helmet, large circle logo with "Steelers" inside For the 1963 FALL season they changed to a smaller circle logo with "Steelers" inside. At least, that is what I comprehend from the go-to-guys (Mike Stanhope, Tim Brulia) in this hobby/genre/interest/whatever-the-hell you want to call it. Mike (if you check out this forum) or Tim (who I know does) can you clarify this once and for all ? Could the Bobby Layne helmet in the HOF be incorrect?
