Well, what I was suggesting was that we should have the AI behave kinda like a disstorted version of Hal 9000 (or like the ships computer in System Shock 2). It whould only apear in strangest of places (and places that are not to damaged), and talk in a chaotic, emotionless way. For Instance, when the pc is walking along a narrow and a dim corridor, filled with screens on both sides (Witch used to be News/Advertising protocoles) everything suddenly turns on, and this cold, emotionless voice begins to whisper hiddius things, and perhaps for more effect; somthing about the pc's personal life. It cicles around the corridor in a caotic maner, it's tempo always getting higer and higer, untill it begins to resemble more of a howling. Then it suddenly stops, and the lights go out again.
And, btw, when I was talking about having it hi-tec, I did not mean the instalation itself (Wich has been in ruins for years?) but imply that the caracter, and the orginasation (The II's) are living in a much more tecnilogical times than the colonist were living on.
I do whant to have it have an uncept, dreadfull look (kind a like an abondoned factory), but please: No junk-heeps in space! I'm tired of having all spaceships and spaestations look like rusty tincans barly holding together. My vision of things whould be a mix between the look of 2001: A space oddesy, Alien (the first one) and System Shock 2 (Not the space-ships,the insides) (Or, If you're retro, like the old C64 game Project Firestart, witch almost captures the look perfictly). I see it as having as much contrast between black and white as posible (Combined with shadows and fixed angles, creaiting a film-noir-ish look), with a slash of deep blue just for messure.
