She didn't know how long she had been sleeping, but the sky was still dark and the stars still shown brightly against a backdrop of blackness when she woke. Peering around without doing more than tilting her head, she saw what she believed had awakened her. Valenthe still slumbered, but Wyrd had risen to his feet, leathery wings flaring out over his mistress. He would allow no harm to come to Valenthe, and it showed in every muscle that quivered in anticipation of a fight. The one that had awakened her stood, framed by silvering moonlight and draped with a cloak that mirrored the blackest night. Pale face turned towards the now awakened bard, and seeing her awake the creature spoke it's/(her?) hands held up in a universal gesture of neutral intent. Her voice when she spoke was low voiced, almost musical but the effect was marred by the glistening fangs that kept growing and retracting.
"Peace Bard and Golem, I intend thee no mischief this night. Only a warning to you and to yon sleeper do I bring, a message that if wise you would heed. Krryphon's last request, no order for this task did she give, was to watch over those termed Forgotten. I, who roam the night answered that request, and bring you this message. To every creature in existance there exists an opposite. The same holds true for other things as well. The Life Web, called the Weave has an alternate named only the Shadow Weave. It's watchers watch not only there, but watch you as well. Their powers are different, and to tell you what to expect I cannot. The warning is more for another, but to approach would be to leave the message ungiven. The one called Lashana, called Slayer is in peril, and though warned she was by one of the watchers themselves, unheeding is she of it's portent. My warning is given, and now I depart as dawn nears. Be well child of the wind, creature of creation and daughter of music, this night holds more dangers than my kind, and not all of them grant such warning as we."
Swirling the cloak around herself the wind picked up blowing dust everywhere and obscuring her from view. When the dust settled, she was gone with no clear evidence as to where she went. Looking over at Wyrd, she wonder's just what that was all about.
