He snarled after the vampire, well aware the direction it took to exit. Being called a simple golem was an insult. A golem was soulless and brainless, and he was neither. A personal purpose was set aside, he would find and kill that one later.
Relaxing just a slight bit, he lowered his wings, and felt something. Concern it could be called, for the girl, Lashana. After all she had been his first, and had given him a part of his personality. He used his tail to rouse Valenthe, and she did so almost unwillingly, when she saw it was still dark.
"We have been informed by a creature of the night of the peril of Lashana. What do you suggest we do?"
Valenthe blinked for a moment, concidering what could possliby be the danger to the girl, but knew there were after all more dangerous things that vampires roaming.
"Go find her, warn her."
"Very well."
Wyrd bowed his head, and took off through the trees. He could sence where Lashana was, even if the link was cut to her, he knew where she was.
Valenthe and Immarra watched him disappear. Boy, he could move fast. Neither of them noticed the decent of shadowed about them, hidden by the darkness of the still night. And within it, a rainbow array of many eyes appeared. Valenthe was swallowed into the shadows without so much of a yelp escaping from her, that too swallowed into the darkness. The fear though, was thick enough to taste.
Immarra turned to ask a question, before she noticed she was alone and jumped to her feet.
What else could go wrong?
