MY NAME IS ROBIN BROWN AND I HAVE A 9 YR OLD DAUGHTER NAMED BAILEY. WE RECENTLY COMPETED FOR THE PRE-TEEN TITLE AT BELL CO. MY DAUGHTER WAS GIVEN THE BEST OVERALL INTERVIEW AWARD AND 4TH RUNNER-UP. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, WHEN I GOT MY SCORE SHEETS AND A SPREAD SHEET OF THE ENTIRE PAGEANT, MY DAUGHTER HAD ACTUALLY WON! THE ENTIRE TOP 10 SCORES HAD BEEN DOCTORED. OUT OF A POSSIBLE 100 POINTS PR JUDGE/ THE WINNER HAD 116. THE OTHERS HAD MORE THAN 100 ALSO. THE ENTIRE TOP 5 WINNERS WERE WRONG!!! JOHN ADMITTED TO ME AND SEVERAL OTHERS THAT THERE HAD BEEN A MISTAKE BUT REFUSED TO CORRECT IT BECAUSE IT MIGHT CAUSE A "STINK" FOR THEIR PAGEANT. HE OFFERED TO SEND MY DAUGHTER A CROWN AND LET US COMPETE FREE NEXT YEAR. WASN'T THAT NICE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE 8 AND 9 YR OLDS IN THIS SYSTEM, BUT YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR THEM. THEY ARE TOO SMALL/COMPETING WITH 12 YR OLDS/ AND PLEASE DEFINE AN "AGE APPROIATE DRESS?" TO FINALLY WIN ONE(AGAINST THE ODDS)AND TO BE CHEATED OUT OF IT IS WRONG! I HAVE DEMANDED MY MONEY BACK-AND I URGE YOU TO LOOK AT YOUR SCORES AND ASK FOR YOUR MONEY BACK AS WELL.IF PRE-TEEN WAS FIXED, WHAT ABOUT TEEN AND MISS? IF WE WOULD ALL STICK TOGETHER ON THIS AND AVOID THEIR PAGEANT FROM NOW ON, MAYBE WE COULD MAKE A STEP TOWARD PREVENTING DIRECTORS FROM FIXING PAGEANTS. HE SAID THEY WERE AFRAID OF LOOSING THE INCOME FROM THEIR PAGEANTS. HOW MUCH DID YOU SPEND THAT DAY? FIGURE IN YOUR GAS AND DRIVE TIME? I ASSURE YOU THAT I AM NOT A SORE LOOSER. OUT OF STATE JUDGES!!!!!!!!!
Applications are available at http://www.freewebs.com/fsfairpageants
Preteen and Teen will have 3 placings, a photogenic winner and a Miss Congeniality winner.
Miss will have five placings, a photogenic winner and a Miss Congeniality winner. The winner will receive a $250.00 gift certificate from Debbrah's. All will receive money as well as roses at state.
All contestants will receive a free complete session at Glamour Shots, winner will receive free complete session and 8 X 10 photo from Glamour Shots.

Top 10 in each group will receive awards also! (If not contestants enter to have a top 10, then call back will receive awards)
Applications will be taken at the door, but preregistered is available (makes it easier on both of us) . If for some reason you preregister and pay, and can't attend, I will refund your money.
Any question, please email me at fsfairpageants @bellsouth.net.
We will also have a photographer to take candid shots during the pageants that will available to purchase online at a secure password protected web site at a later date. They will be very inexpensive to purchase. I will let you all know the website to purchase the photos at the pageant.

Apple Festival Pageant
Tuesday, September 19, 2006 * 7:00 p.m.
Casey County High School, Hwy. 70 East
* Entry fee is $35. payable to the Casey County Apple Festival. Fee is not refundable. Entry fee must be received by deadline.
* Deadline for entries is Sept. 8. There will be no applications accepted after deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS! You may pick up and leave completed applications at The Casey County News or Dressed to the 9s or mail to: Deana Garrett, P.O. Box 160. Dunnville. Ky. 42528.
* Information sheets must be typed or neatly printed. Remember. the judges will be looking at these sheets. so you want them to be presentable. Information sheets must also be received by deadline.
* Contestants will compete in interview. sportswear and formal wear. A dress. short outfit or suit will be appropriate for interview. Sportswear attire will consist of a T-shirt provided by the Apple Festival Committee and blue jean shorts (chosen by the contestant). The evening gown should be a dress that best compliments the contestant. Contestants must wear long gowns.
* Pageant check-in is from 4-5 p.m. EST. You will receive a T-shirt and a pre-assigned number at check-in. Numbers will be selected at random.
* Following the interviews all contestants will be asked to remain at school. Food may be brought in to contestants.
* The pageant is open to any Kentucky resident and must be a full-time student in an accredited Kentucky school system.
* There will be a Miss Congeniality (voted on by the contestants). 4th through first. MISS PRETEEN WINNER WILL ADVANCE TO THE STATE COMPETITION IN OCTOBER. All Preteen contestants cannot have reached their 13th birthday by Oct. 31, 2006. Winners will ride in the Apple Festival Parade.
Contestants can enter "Most Photogenic" competition with a $5.00 fee per picture and can enter up to three photos. Each photo will be judged on an indifvidual basis, not as a group. Entries will be accepted at check-in. Photos can be picked up after the jodging is completed.
* The judges decisions are FINAL.
* Practice will be held Saturday 9/16 at 11:30 am EST, you will pick up your numbers and T-shirts that day

Of Last year's Top 17, six have won a title to go back, four aged out, and of course one was the winner. However, that still leaves six that have not won a title as well as several NEW top contenders for this year's pageant.

All 3 beautiful girls I had all 3 picked to win, but didn't know what order. Judges were very good in ALL groups I watched. Great job

All pageants are OPEN and held inside a school auditorium.

NO interviews! Pre-Register for a discount or register the day of the pageants.

Categories include:
Girls: 0-11 mos, 12-23 mos, 2-4 years, 5-7 years, 22-29 years
Boys: 0-23 mos, 2-4 years
STATE Preliminaries: Little Miss & Mister, Pre-Teen, Teen, Miss, and Mrs. (advances to Mrs. KY America Pageant)

Cash money, round crowns, satin banners, and crown pins awarded to all state preliminary winners.

Optional categories for all pageants include photogenic, best dressed, prettiest eyes, prettiest hair, prettiest smile.
