In reply to: tony merola 's message, "NOT TOT BUT DOT" on 09:35:32am 12/10/05 Sat,

I believe this is the last year of TOT's current contract. If so can anyone give me agood reason to renew it?

If Bucknell can upset a major Big East team and Loyola can go from bottom feeder to what looks like a team that will make some noise in the MAAC this year, how long do we accept mediocrity? When TOT took over he had more talent then Patsos, and except for 2 good seasons his teams have consistently underperformed. Last year was a perfect example, a team with a dominant player (in the MAAC at least) & he can manage only a .500 season!

A mistake like last night's might be excusable for a first year coach but he's in his 8th year as a head coach. Frankly the players & the fans deserve alot better.

The tough part about last night is that the error was so obvious and so obviously cost the game. On the other hand, all the good things that we all liked last night - the teamwork, mental toughness have something to do with TOT as well. After 7+ years I think we see what we have. There are good qualities and areas where I think we all hope for more but it does not look like things will change. A tough call.
