I get that Blair has been stupid for a long time. I get it. But I don't have to like it. She's locked in a trunk. She can't figure out how to get herself out. That's pretty stupid. And now someone's trying to sell the car for scrap.

The implication, I guess, is that the car will be crushed with Blair, maybe, still inside it. But any fourteen-year-old from the exurbs knows that when you find an abandoned car, the first thing you do is get into the trunk to see what's inside. There might be beer. Or a set of golf clubs. Or a dead body. But you check.

Another thing you know if you've ever been anywhere near a junkyard is that a late model car will be parted out, not crushed. And the first thing they do is look in the trunk. Spare tires, jacks, and crowbars are easy sales.

So, get past all of that, if you can, and ponder this: Blair is in the trunk, with someone outside talking about crushing her for scrap metal. Does she kick? No. Pound on the trunk lid with that flashlight she's so attached to? No. She works really hard to shine the light through the hole in the tail light cover. Ooohh. Bright idea, Blair!
