I read this eye-opening post describing what Todd has done to himself to be with the B, and to read it in such terms was really...well...gruesome. I was never violently against a recast - but to have Todd come back LIKE THIS...to have the recast be based on cutting and chopping himself up for someone who SUPPOSEDLY was the only one who'd "undertand and accept him as he was"...again, it's just gross. I read a book called, "Geek Love" about a family of "freaks" in a carnival. One of the characters was a boy who was born without any of his limbs. He developed a following of people who admired him so much, who wanted to BE with him, BE him, that they slowly cut parts off their body...first fingers, then hands, first toes then feet...then they'd move to the elbows...and finally they'd cut their entire arms off and their legs until they were limbless, just like their hero.
It was odd, reading this one post..."Geek Love" completely came to mind. Todd...gutted, divested of everything that made him great at one time, chopped up, cut up, morphed, sent through a blender literally...all so he can BE with....Blair?? That's as repulsive as it gets. If Todd had to do the body modification thing, the writers should have given him a damn good reason. And BLAIR certainly AIN'T IT.
Absurd.
And...we've got that fine wine label on grape juice to boot, with the grapes playing PIANO. Owwwww.....
