Good example. It’s very true too. I remember talking in class about fashion. But also in the movie there is the rivalry between the two girls - the main character and then the girl who really cares and works really hard. You might be able to say that the main character at first looks up to the other girl, almost as a model (but not in the fashion sense). Eventually she begins to get all the attention which causes much jealousy. I also am reminded of the transformation of the main character. She basically becomes what she despised. So it is very easy to get caught up in the world of fashion. I am always amused by people who claim to be anti-fashion so they dress a certain way; this action is mimicked by others, and they basically develop their own style of fashion.
