Buddy, who changes his name to Syndrome, also becomes the model for Mr. Incredible as he surpasses his mediator. When Syndrome catches Mr. Incredible and keeps him under lock, Mr. Incredible faces the decision to crush Syndrome's assistant: "It would be easy--like crusing a toothpick" he remarks.
That is not a very Mr. Incredible thing to admit. Notice also the way in which Buddy picks off the other superheros. He intentionally destroys them one by one getting rid of all obstacles.
The question remains to answer, who does Mr. Incredible imiate originally?
