Any one out there put a 671 blower in a 33 ford coupe S.B. chevy
with air, alternator and pwr steering ? my radiator doesn't give me enough clearance
I would like a serpentine system but the main thing is just making it fit

I am sorry to say the toy will be out of commission for awhile. The rocker arm on #8 slid off the valve and did damage to the valve.When the intake was removed water was found in the oil and a crack between one and three cylinders was found, so a new block will be needed as well as changing out the rocker :)I found a 400 but I may need to go to 40 over which I will have to change out the pistons.any body have a rich uncle ha ha.

Hows it going guys?? I am looking to plan a cruise from Houston to the track and would like premission before I start..... I am not sure on a date yet but would like the proper time to promote it, so we can make a strong showing.... Will be alot of ls1 cars along with a good mix of others as well...

SBC stuff for sale -- Doug Johnson (1560 the game), Sat, Oct 25 2008, 15:48:30 2008MT-6

these are L98 center bolt heads and I just picked them up from the machine shop today. They are ported and flow about 260 cfm on the intake side. They have studs and guide plates and springs are for a hyd roller up to .550" lift. I will take $600 for them.

I also have a victor jr. intake that is port matched to these heads. $125

plus these parts.
billet center bolt valve covers $75
5.7 rods polished with arp rod bolts $75
hyd roller cam for sbc w/ lifters $150
stock 350 crank $50
stock 400 crank $50
1.6 roller tip rockers $75

If you start to run index racing we will be there. I used to run at the track a lot from the first days it was open. We run the 6.20 index and there are a lot of cars out there from the 5.80s on down to the 7.00s that would love to have another place to race. If we can get some sponcers on board for a decent pot you will get a decent car count for sure. I used to throw in a couple of hundred a race back in the pro gas days and could do that again.

Then I would suggest that everyone here that knows somebody that drag races tell someone else and pass the word, Word of mouth will be the best advertisement we can help with at this moment. Radio and tv come later

Set up index races with moderate purse--go to saturday nights 6 till midnight and stick with it-they will come-then set up a local backhalf race old school type with moderate purse or entry pool-they will come. There is more slow cars than fast making for a big pool of cars to set up heads up events.

I am really happy to hear that Navasota is up and running. It looks like the track still hooks good after 4 years.

I can remember the days when the starting line was so packed we couldn't get in the water box to make a pass.

Due to the rainy weather we will not be open saturday, hopefully we will be open sunday, we will have to wait and see. We got a lot of rain today and it's still raining. Keep checking here or call the track, ph# 936-825-8725, we will leave a message there.
You can also call us at ph # 936-372-5119.

Starting October 25th, we will only be open saturday evenings, gates open at 4:00PM, racing from 5:00 to 10:00PM.

With news most of you don't want to hear it has come time for me to bid farwell to the Strip. I want to thank everyone for all the hard labor and support they have given in the trying times of rebuilding at the track. I have meet many new friends and have received a lot of new family members in my short time while I was at the track and I ask that all of you continue to also support Larry and Char and there familys in this time of change especialy in starting a new buisness. I will be stopping by and checking on the track prep from time to time making sure that I dont need to throw a little magic dust on it. Until we meet again God Speed and keep the wheels pointed in the right direction...

Mitch, I was shocked to hear you were leaving. I know you have put a ton of hours in that place and it was really coming around. I wish you well in your endeavors and just want to personsally thank you for everything that you have put towards the track as well as your friendship.

sprayed it twice with the tractor and about 400 mitch sprayed it with the hand sprayer and the nova from h town broke lose so DR HOOK heated it up with the pear burner and clay made a pass 60 1.35 / 660 6.17 on a 275 shot bad ass pass for the track

I'd like to thank Mitch and Dr Hook for a nice time at Saturdays re- opening event at Navasota. It sure felt good to get down the old track. I think with a few good weekends of racing the track will come around and both lanes will improve, thank god for adjustable shocks!
Im getting ready to start my new house and from my driveway to the track it will be 18 miles, what more could a man ask for.
The track was kinda slick and my pucker was pulled tight on a couple of passe, but heh...its been closed for 5 plus years- but all in all I thank both you guys for your hard work and effort to make it happen again.
I will be back...just gotta take care of buisness.
I'd like to see you guys get a index class going, street wars again. maybe try something different on the time drop as to be different from the other tracks.
great job and man do I have a sun burn.

Thanks Greg, the hard part was trying to get down the track, the car was off .3 from normal, but it gave me a chance to play with the shocks and tire pressure's more.
the car laid down some tire spin for about 60-70 ft and you could feel the back end shifting around down the track.

the track will improve with more cars down the track as always, more rubber will help Dr Hook do his job.

It's finally here. Opening weekend will be Oct. 11th-12th.
Gates OPEN at 10AM Racing starts at 11AM and will run till 6:30PM and the same on the 12th. Admission will be $10 for adults((Kids 12 and under are FREE)). Racers TECH CARDS are $10. We want to thank everyone that has helped make this happen and thank everyone for all the support. We ask that everyone please follow our No Glass Container Rule. This is out of respect for all our racers. Drag Slicks are very expensive. We are looking forward to events coming up in the future and we will have classes for just about everyone. Thanks for all the help today at the track. We are will be back out at 9 in the morning if anyone wants to stop by. We did get the new system up and even ran a few passes and printed a few time slips. Sure was a good feeling to see the TREE count down and give us a green. I just received a phone call in regaurds to racing tomorrow. WE WILL NOT BE RACING.. Well can't say much, worked at the track sunday got a little more done ,got all the lazers mounted a set ,90% of the wiring on the computer, got the scoreboard wired,WE DID NOT TURN IT ON we worked till 8:00pm sunday , we need some weedeaters & operators, i mowed most of the place, dam mitch i forgot to get the plywood,(i'll get it later) ZACK,BARB,MITCH,JERRY,LARRY,TANNER. Yes i did get sunburned LOL

Just returned from the track. The wall did not get hurt. IEvery thing looks real good. It is amazing after driving through Navasota and seeing all the damage I thought I would see the worse at the track. Goes to show the power of prayer. Hope everyone is ok and is doing well...Mitch
