You know, it never occurred to me that some dogs do understand language better than others. My Australian shepherd understands a lot. One time there was a mouse in the house. I told her to catch it, and she did. She actually waited for the next command which was, "kill it" and she did (bad karma, I know), then looked at me again, and I told her to take it outside, which she did. Very well behaved, and smartest dog I've ever had/seen.

My other two dogs are still bad, and even though I've tried, I don't think I'll ever get them to behave anything near to how my Aussie did/does.
