Hey J. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all your questions, but I'll try to answer some of them.

The EKG seems to be standard procedure at our ER. I've had to take my mother-in-law there about a dozen times for various reasons, and they always do the EKG as one of the final procedures, regardless of why we are there. That was the way when I was there -- it almost seemed like an afterthought because they were already preparing to send me home. I did have a bit of a temp, 37.5C. Absolutely no chest pains, although I did have a cough and my sides hurt from about 12 hours of dry heaves -- I feared I was going to break a rib if I didn't stop the nausea. They did a chest X-ray, which they said "looked good." I know the nebulizer had albuterol and something else, perhaps the one you mentioned.

After we finally got home, we talked to a good friend of ours who is a chiropractor/homeopathic physician. She told us about the blood test that could determine MI. They took craploads of blood at both facilities, but since a couple of days have passed and I've heard nothing from them, I'm assuming that the blood didn't show anything like that.

My BP was never elevated at all; can't remember the exact numbers now, but well within the normal range. About six months ago, I was having a stressful time and my BP climbed, just barely, into the pre-hypertensive range. At that time, I started taking 2.4g of Omega-3 fish oil daily, and the problem disappeared immediately.

I have some strong thoughts about how type-2 diabetes is treated, but I won't go into that in a big way right now. I will say that my mother-in-law has it to about the same degree I do, and I've had to take her to ER a half-dozen times from fucking starving herself, until I could get it through her pea-brain that it's preferable to run slightly high than to run way too low. I have a more easygoing approach and have never had any problems.

As for mixing allopathic medicine and alternative medicine, I never expect them to do everything on my terms; I'm always willing to do a bit of give-and-take. I do expect them to respect my views and listen sincerely to what I have to say with an open mind. Nurses are great about this, and sometimes doctors can be, too. I know many alternative health care practitioners, and every one of them will tell you that sometimes allopathic medicine is the best way to go.

I really love nurses, you know, because they do tend to be so open-minded. While in the hospital this time, during a conversation with one of the nurses, I told her my non-drug cures for thrush and for IBS, and she was genuinely appreciative. I wish more people could be that way.

I know I've missed some of your questions. Really tired, but my health is improving rapidly! Thanks for your response. :-)
