I can think of many more that deserve to be on this list, both pre- and post-1970. There are several on the list that I would ditch, at least.

I've had the same favorite movie since I was about eight years old, a very obscure fantasy, eons ahead of its time; Portrait of Jennie, 1948 (seven years before I hatched), starring Joseph Cotten, Jennifer Jones, Ethel Barrymore, and Lillian Gish. I've probably seen it a dozen times.
