Subject: America always cancels its talent, EJ.

HBO has cancelled "John from Cincinnati" after a single season, the sorry ratbastards. It was my candidate for the best show on TV, ever. It was artful, intelligent, and funny, so it's gone. So seldom do we get a show so complex, thought-provoking, and uplifting. Every word, every gesture, every shadow actually meant something.

Deserving of many awards: Brian Van Holt, Ed O'Neill, Rebecca DeMornay, Dayton Callie, Austin Nichols, Luke Perry. And the great, great writers.
