She watched him for a long moment, trying to judge the mood he was in and what might be possibly going through his mind. He could definitely be a hard man to read, for sure, and she found herself at a bit of a loss to guage how he was feeling. With a soft sigh, she nodded and resigned herself to talking to him later about Kaden and what the boy was going through. With a small smile, she squeezed his hand once more and then dropped it in order to finish the food on her plate. The rest of the dinner went by in quiet fashion, with all of them just chattering between each other and getting to know one another. She found that she thoroughly enjoyed Gwen and thought the girl was refreshing, Linn was quiet but sweet and she liked all three of the girls. It was obvious that Ashleigh was itching to get downstairs to the library and she thought it was cute the way Greylen humored her, nodding and agreeing whenever it seemed appropiate during her babbling about what wonders could possibly be found in those dusty old books. Soon enough, desert was being served, the men were given brandy and the women hot chocolate. Ashleigh was already looking to Dane to have him show her where the library was and while Bree didn't want to let her mate out of her sight, she took pity on the girl and prompted Dane to show her the way. "Why don't you go and take Ash to the library now Dane? The rest of the girls and I will head up to the den to get a bit of rest and become better acquainted." She smiled at her mate as she stood up, her hand going to her stomach and the other hand to the high back of the chair to keep her balance. It was a bit of a challange, learning how to operate her body with it's larger, uncomfortable and awkward size. Her ankles were already aching, as was her back and she was still so damned weary from all their playing in the woods - though she would gladly suffer the tiredness in return for the joy that they had found together. "I might even doze off a bit." She smiled a touch, her hand going to his shoulder where he was sitting as she looked down at him.
