He did no such thing, Kaden.. ye left the castle on yer own free will and ye ken it well enough yerself. Yer brother may be a mindless dolt and selfish as ye say, but I dinnae think he is as brutal as ye make him out to be. (She wasn't standing up for Dane MacDouglass, nor was she condoning what had gone on between the brothers.. that was something they would have to sort out on their out. All she was doing was saying taht she wasn't going to listen to him bellyache because that wasn't very productive in her opinion. Pity parties got no one no where. She had known Dane and Durgan all her life, and had not seen the red males do anything to harm another.. in fact Durgan was a renowned healer.) I am sure that Dane kens what he is doing wi' his mate.. and if he really is that horrible then I am even more sorry for the white lassy.. but, Kaden.. dinnae ye think perhaps ye are changing yer color because ye are harboring such bitterness? (She caressed the scales over his eye, sitting down in the grass.) Yer eyes.. they're all black now.. (She missed the blue.. they had been so beautiful. Now they were stunning, but somehow just a little scary too. She folded her arms in her lap and sighed, looking down at the grass. A flower bloomed beside her and she sighed again.) I could talk to Evie wi'out telling her why I am asking.. if that would make ye feel better.
