I know everyone didn't get a chance to write about Abortion yet. Don't worry, you always can, I just wanted to keep this moving.

Next is Affirmative Action. For those of you who do not know what it is, it is defined as "the set of public policies and initiatives designed to help eliminate past and present discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin."

I've always been in favor of this, until recently. Now it is starting to get out of hand. I am a white male, which means every time I try to get a job or a scholarship, and I am going up against someone of a different race or sex, with equal credentials, that other person will get the job.

I'm O.K. with having to try harder in this life, but I also want to be treated fairly.

I believe if anyone is to be treated differently, it shouldn't be because of their heritage, it should be because of their own personal history. Meaning that the people who get the scholarships should be people who are poor and had a bad childhood, but still tried their hardest throughout their life. Those are the people who really need it, because without it they may not ever be able to further their education, Which would only be creating more poverty.
