(She was standing in the corner of the living room, nearest the balcony doors, looking out over the ocean with a hand over her belly. She had heard him coming up the stairs, having not bothered to turn on anything for noise. And besides, with a dog like Bambi how could she not know.. the dane had scrambled off the sofa and parked herself before the door, the pups nipping at her wagging tail. She clenched her teeth a little, feeling at once a sense of relief and of anger.. he had let her worry like this. She looked over her shoulder at him as he came in, her auburn curls sweeping down her back, her dark eyes expressive. As usual, she watched as he greeted his dogs, her expression softening just a little as he called her 'mommy'. She turned then, backing up a little to give her massive weight a bit of room. They had joked one night that she could easily take out a lamp without realizing it if she wasn't careful. She crossed the room to where he was standing, parting the red sea of dogs before him. Her lower lip quivered a little as though she might possibly think about crying, though it was only because she was torn between smacking him and kissing him senseless.) You scared the hell out of me, Justin Mallanoch. (She said, her voice level and flat. She was trying to soothe the baby, who, it seemed, was bucking for best actor in a sports movie. Sometimes she swore the kid had toys in there that he was playing with.)
