Subject: You are perfect in everything you do

They had been home two days exactly and honestly, they had spent most of it sleeping. When the baby was sleeping, the parents slept, when the parents were sleeping, the baby slept. It was a pretty constant routine of sleeping. It seemed little Ryan was absolutely worn out from his exciting trip into the world and just wanted to rest. Skeeter, of course, was ok with that because he thought Gia needed some time to just sleep and heal also. Whenever the baby fussed, he got up with him if he could and tried to soothe him without waking Gia. The past few hours though, Ryan's fussing had turned into all out wails of what sounded like pain to Skeeter's sensitive ears and he was getting worried. He had tried turning on the tv to maybe distract the lad but that had only made him scream louder, as if in more pain then he had been in. That idea had quickly been thrown out the window and Skeeter had taken him outside but birds had been stalking the beach, searching for early morning meals and had been making so much noise that Ryan just screamed again. The last resort had been disappearing into the office, sitting in dark and silence and holding his boy. Only then did Ryan begin to quiet, his screams turning to soft whimperings that broke Justin's heart. He felt a heavy sinking inside of him, a feeling, an instinct telling him that there was something that wasn't right with his son. One hand lifted to trail a finger down Ryan's damp, flushed cheek and he had to bite back a curse. The doctors told them he was healthy, that he was fine and yet the behavior he had exhibited that day proclaimed that he was anything but 'fine'. His jaw set and his eyes closed as he fought back the emotional response he was having. It killed him to think of his baby in pain, tore him apart from the inside out but he needed to be rational about this. They needed to find out what was wrong and get that under control and then everything would be fine, they'd get Ryan the help he needed and this would all be just like a bad dream. It had to be.
