(That morning had been just like the first morning they had brought little Ryan home.. they had fed and changed him and taken a rather long nap until the next time he had demanded to be fed. It had seemed to her that everything was slipping into a clockwork schedule.. but then suddenly Ryan had decided that he was not going to go back down for his nap. The psychiatrist she was still seeing since her withdrawel from heroine had also counseled her about what to expect and how to behave as a mother. One of the things she had learned was that it would be wrong of her to interfere everytime Ryan cried, because it was good for Skeeter to have those moments with the child as well.. it would undermind his ability as a father for her to constantly be over his shoulder. As it was, it was extremely hard for her to remain laying in bed while listening to the baby crying to the point she was sure he would throw up. She had rolled over when Skeeter had taken Ryan outside, but had sat up as he came back in adn the baby was still crying. What was bothering him so much? She had fed him a mere hour before.. Skeeter would have checked his diaper and if he was tired he would have been sleeping.. Sighing, she got out of bed and picked up her robe, slipping into it and tying the sash. Perhaps he merely wanted his mother, was all. She was halfway to the office when the crying stopped, and she came to stand in the doorway to the dark room, letting her eyes slowly adjust to the scene that lay before her. Ryan was clutching his fathers shirt, his little mouth working as he rested his head on Skeeter's shoulder, and Justin.. well, he just looked desperately upset. Her heart broke for her men, and she walked slowly into the room to kneel at Justin's side, quietly laying her hand on his thigh and her other hand on Ryan's back. With that soft motherly understanding in her eyes, she gazed up at Justin, wanting him to know that she was there too.. that they would work through this together.) Do you think he has a headache? (She whispered, her voice husky in the darkness. The baby was clammy, which made her wonder if he wasn't feeling well.)
