瑞典政府計畫修改人工授孕法，以便讓女同志伴侶得以接受合法治療。這項草案是在月初公佈，預料年底前可通過修法正式實施。

依據這條草案，已辦理民事結合登記的女同志伴侶，將獲准接受人工授孕治療，這項政府贊助的醫療服務，目前只有已婚夫妻及異性同居伴侶具申請資格。

新的措施將讓有懷孕困難的女同志伴侶得到需要的協助。英國BBC電台指出，小孩出生後，兩位伴侶將同時登記為母親。

這個草案是邁向LGBT同志全面平權的重要一步，瑞典LGBT權利協會(Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay and Transgender Rights)會長安得森(Soeren Andersson)告訴BBC說，這件事意謂，女同志在瑞典的醫療體系中，已被放在跟異性戀伴侶同等的位置。

瑞典早在1990年初即已制訂民事結合法，時間上遠遠領先歐洲其它國家。
