In reply to: 's message, "Question-How do you all feel about women (us older PM's, say 30-up) competing with our daughters at pageants that offer the Mrs./Ms. categories. Is it frowned upon or what? I secretly would love to do one but think it might look like I am trying to hold on to my youth just a little too hard- LOL-what do you guys think?" on 09:41:43 10/20/05 Thu

I think that if you do it as a fun girls weekend with your daughter why not?
If they have the category you might as well enter it. If you think you can pull it off. I know I stress enough over getting my daughter ready to go on stage and make sure she is prepared etc...and our day is long enough as it is. I could never try to get her and myself ready.
Also remember that 9 times out of 10 the younger girls are going to get the high titles.
I know some people say these are CHILDRENS pageants. But the director is the one that choses what it is not the parents. And if the director choses to have a Mrs category then they can not "officially" say a thing.
