And now they don't take checks anymore? Contestants are told on the site that the checks should be made out to them personally and then converted to pay online or a contestant should instruct the person to pay online with their credit card, tell the donor to buy one if those credit cards at the store to make their donation, or get the credit card information from the donor and enter it. Says the cost of converting the check is too expensive. What? I am siting here with about $600 in checks from a recent fundraiser. Now what? Return them? Since the number of checks received annually continues to decline, it is no longer economical to pay to process checks. What should I do if someone wants to write me a check? Ask them first to make a credit card donation to your personal page on our secure website. If that is not an option, ask them to write the check to you so you can make the online transaction on their behalf. What if someone doesn't want to write the check to me? Some people are not comfortable using their personal credit cards online. As a last resort, they can purchase a credit card gift card at their local supermarket and use that to make the donation online. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
