[> Subject: Arkansas has started giving $3000 scholarships to the winner, plus whatever prelim or overall awards. They pay airfare for the contestant, entry fee for nationals, the teen gets appearance fees throughout the year AND we have many many supportive sponsors in the way of wardrobe. Our Arkansas Teen Director and the board do a fantastic job!

[> [> Subject: That does sound wonderful!! Our state gives the winner a paltry $500 and airfare and pays the entry. Considering the thousands collected, its not wear it needs to be. Teen girl hardly gets any appearances. I have not seen her at all, this entire year.
