Subject: It's such a regional thing. In the north schools generally start around Labor Day and get out in mid June. The only month schools are closed nation wide is July, but most pageants are held in late June after school gets out, so there would be no time to prepare for nationals if the pageant was held that early. It is hard on the southern girls, though.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: Well even if the contestant doesn't have a school conflict what about the siblings? Colleges start around that time and I know it will be difficult to have to have one parent take a child off to start school while the other one is in Florida. I for one can't imagine juggling that and it's a very likely scenario for our family.
