For ONE LOL Ive been around pageants for almost 10 years and never have seen a prelim offer that. My dd competes and we have entered PRELIMS that are in the 70 range and give what you say you do for a 100 entry fee. Heres the deal that prelim in question is a 170 entry fee no way would i pay that and obviously others dont want to either. Prelims weve been around may offer beauty and one other outfit change but not spw or something not every child can do.

Several prelims here hold themed ones as well and I know one to have a annual bike pageant and entry is around 40 bucks and 2 supremes get bikes along with crowns, trophies, sashes. And beauty winners usually dont get a 3 in crown.

If the prelim is 170 I would hate to see how much the next level costs.

Humm its called a prelim because you win fees off the next stage of competition and well when you fork over 170 for a 3 in crown thats not what we usually get for a prelim. For one I know several agree with me and not saying they are on this board but when here a typical one runs 40-100 bucks and no where near 170 and they give great awards you would actually want to win and dont cost an arm and a leg to enter.

For one i seen the information questioned the things not stated on the website such as awards and the director etc. I havent seen it lately but this was just a couple of weeks ago. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked for paperwork. 1 there was a name on the email but no last name 2 she told me to give my address for a contestant packet - this being about 3 weeks ago and still no packet
3 you cant jump out of the gate and hold a huge pageant and expect to get the numbers you need to break even.

Thanks for explaining there are prelims like that out there but ya know what if not everyones heard of them either they dont have them anymore or they have fizzled beacause of the price because they sure arent plentiful.
