Quite a few years ago now I did have an initiation ceromony/buddhist baptism-ish thingy but of course such a thing isn't required to be 'real!' :0) Who decides what is real after all? I do spend the majority of my time meditating on love and sending healing and love to other beings, I believe human beings and other creatures have the capacity for incredible natural transformative love. We all have our own troubles and its easy to forget that sometimes. May be you should create some positive energy around them as they may well be reacting to your negative vibes. Make everyone a coffee or take a packet of biscuits in at brak time - something to cheer them up and think how great you are. That really will make you feel good and could just be the ice breaker. I think all people have some positive quality....even tiny, spend your time looking for them and you may be surprised. You could even in the course of a week make it your mission to find something positive in that annyoing colleague or irriating boss :) Then focus on that....and let your behaviour around that person change becuase you see the good in them....it could have an impact...make that person happier inside and eventually on the outside too! YAY!!!!! The emotional energy you invest in feeling like you want to snub people and ignore them also hurts your own heart. When you smile to another you smile to yourself ditto when you frown. I think you will feel so much better looking to open yourself rather than constrict yourself to others....simply because I believe that is what our hearts want to do but life may have made us close down (but that is my belief system I guess)...but you could experiment with it anyway.....a theory if you like..... And remember all beings want to be happy and in their own way are just trying to find ways of reaching that. I will be irritating to somebody, another version of the colleauge you don't like, and their refusal to smile or shake my hand because of who I am.... has the possibility to hurt me..... I believe our hearts are as big as the world, and include everyone..... we just may not always feel that way :) Not saying all this is easy.....but baby steps in this direction when we can I believe makes us all happier and such efforts are the only way towards ever finding peace (though I am an idealist *wink*) /\ zenwind [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
