Subject: Tell me if I have done the right thing

Hi there fellow garden dwellers.
Today, my kids and I went for a walk to our local woods, the reason for it was to bury my heart at my ex's tree.
My ex has a tree that she goes to when shes in the woods and I thought it would be a good Idea to bury my heart there. I have worn a Rose Quartz heart all wk to charge it with my love, I asked the tree for permission then gave it an offering. Along with the heart I burried a poem and a pray, my kids also placed a word and a gift to my ex. We placed these gifts in a tin then covered it. I then lit her favorite incense. I have done this in the hope that one day she will find the tin and read our messages. If she does find the tin then i hope its a sign.

Have I done the right thing.

The rather unhelpful answer here is that no-one can tell you if you're done 'the right thing' except for yourself.... sorry....

All I can say is that dwelling on it won't be good for you... better (only in my opinion of course) to treat this as as a 'goodbye' - don't dwell on what you've done, let it pass through into memory and move on. If your ex does find the tin, (with no hints of course)... well, take it from there when it happens. It sounded like a very beautiful ritual, I hope it brings you some peace.
Blessings

Thanks Whitewolf.
The idea is to try and put closure to it all.
I feel, that if her love is true, she will find the tin, otherwise she will need a good metal detector to find it.
She needs to feel the love inside to be drawn. With all the leaves around you could not find it by looking.

Let yourself grieve but give yourself the space and opportunities to move on, too.

I think this ritual can serve wonderfully to say goodbye, aid closure. To help you allow yourself grieve but give yourself the space and opportunities to move on, too.

I would be careful though to ensure your energy does not lie in waiting for her to find the tin. Do not waste any more time attaching to feelings that may never be fulfilled, it just causes more pain.

It seems to me the tin is filled with the energy of love, love to her...love to yourself - that energy is yours to cultivate the parts of your life that will help you heal.

Take care of yourself

it is heart wrenching grief is but if your ex is not standing by you through this pain and has caused even then i think you have to ask yourself why you want her back?

it is possible to be in love with people how they used to be. but she is not good karma for you. everyone changes sadly that is a fact of life.

best to bury the box like a funeral and move on to relationships that are living. i do not mean literally because you can still have a living relationship with someon that is dead. but you can also have a dead relationship with someone that is alive. you need a living one either way though!
