] Date Posted: 20/02/07 17:24 been creeping about the garden on and off for a couple years now (think i will be camping this spring n summer).i love it here, since i have been looking for work ive come almost every day (wearing a path). anyway, poor Paganwolf, sounds like he needs to quit pawing at that ear -down boy!- Whitewolf always comes through in a most sensible and straight forward way ,there is some thing about that very much moves me. i aspire to be that way some day. the truth is if Paganwolf was my buddy down the street or on the phone i would tell him to go and get some of those nasty smelling antibiotics from his doctor(local clinic whatever)or recommend some warmed hydrogen peroxide followed by a cottonball. my point is i am becoming more and more aware of what a synthetic chemical ridden life i lead. lately ive been smooshing avocados into my hair ,popping vitamin pills, avoiding refined sugar and burning the occasional cannibas flower.(urban hippy i am) so many in the garden seem to have some really strong connection with the earth in several aspects and i almost feel like a hypocrite-not the first time- luvv gg [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 17:44 I think we are all doing our best in our own way. I think it is wonderful you are becoming more aware...isn't that cool Gaiangrub! Yay! Take your time and savour every little step. Is wonderful we take the path of feeling more and more connected to our earth, to open our hearts to our home....and sometimes it is not easy, not encouraged by society, many don't. Yet I feel it is truly loving ourselves - we come because we know we are worth it - so don't be too critical on yourself....you are there already - coming home to yourself, ourself. Big Hug and I see no need for a sad face...or head hanging low :) You have arrived! YAY A lotus for you (three in fact) zenwind [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 18:03 Gaiangrub, in this day and age it is hard to avoid the chemical/material world around us. I don't see you have any need to hang your head. As Zenwind said, you are becoming more aware and that is a good thing. I've had much the same feelings that you describe when I read the way others are connected. I feel that being around the people in the garden helps me to be more aware. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 20:19 oh wow. dont hang your head down like that!!! Its so easy for people to say how great they are, but in real life you just never know. The fact that you are trying as hard as you can now, that makes all the difference. Its shame that dr's these days dont really know more about alternative therapies so they could offer the patient more choices. I def agree being more aware and talking to others really helps you to know what kind of path you wanna follow. and actually its quite difficult to start on this path. It can be quite a mindfield. I cant always manage it, but i do what i can, recycling, now im composting, and i am making much more of an effort this year to watch the chemicals especially in the kitchen and in bathroom products. I will get there eventually, and this is something that will be passed to my son also, that to me is really important. there are loads of ideas on here in the library and the articles on a more eco friendly living. which you probably already know, but i found it handy to print them out and stick them on my fridge or places where i actually remember to read them not just when im on the pc. anyway keep smiling jade [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 22/02/07 9:06 Hello gaingrub I am often humbled by the wise words I hear in the Garden. I am relatively new on this journey and have now managed to take one day at a time in my quest. I know I will never stop on my journey, but I do take time to 'stop & smell the roses' and I think thats really important. I love this Garden and the people who come to it. I really cant imagine not coming here. I see the people in here as my soulmates, even though we have never met. Hold your head high Gaingrub - you are part of our gang now. May your path always lead you to light, love and contentedness. BUA - Lil [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 22/02/07 12:57 Good post! I think at times we all debate whether to use modern medicine or try a more traditional approach. My mistrust is founded in one word! 'PROZAC' it took me ages to get off it! Gaiangrub, in relation to what you initially said, although i appreciate what you said re modern medicine, A stiff bourbon would have been better lol! blessings [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 22/02/07 17:19 funny you mention that stuff (prozac), i was a guinea pig for prozac back in the eighties,at the tender age of sixteen no less!Yep even with suicidal tendencies(not the rocknroll band)in fact the doc told me that i should be a life long member of the scripts club. let me say that if prozac-paxil-zoloft or whatever helps a person -right on!- do what you need to do for yourself and consequently those around you. personally i am of a mind to chose my own medicine and boy did that get me in trouble for many years!!!!! but i have this vauge theory that diagnosis like bi-polar and or manic depressive(that was my given title)dont have to be viewed in such a detrimental light.correct me if im totally wrong but arent these "conditions" such that the "sufferer"goes from extremes of joy and saddness? ok well then theses people are extra sensitive extra sensitive to all things i dont think that is all bad i agree with Zenwind in that life is sometimes excruciating and on the same token absolutely blissful im thinking about Sweetsong as i finish up this post hoping that she reads it by the way as far as drugs are concerned legal or not caffine, nicotine and my favorite yummystinky flower bud are all i take in anymore and im cool with that luvv-gg [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
