Subject: reply Author: liz [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 22:13:01 05/13/01 Sun is hating and condeming rich ppl the only way out for the acute global economic inequality? besides anger, anything else we can do to lessen the hardship of human beings? maybe i'm born out of the "black 5 categories" as to use the revolutionary term of the PRC dynasty, i'm puzzled of the conscious effort to hate the rich and to throw anger at them will bring any actual improvement to the situation. anger maybe a revolutionary force, but it can never allow your mind to be clear and balanced. the security measures and the attitude of the SAR gov't indeed deserve criticism and it contradicts the image of hk as a so-called "democratic" city. but just to hate the rich will ever bring hope to the under-priviledged ppl? what's the ultimate reasons which lead to the situation that makes so many ppl suffer? it's a self-defeating effort if we only incite ppl's anger against the rich at the time when everyone dreams of getting rich themselves. just like the poor ppl after the formation of new china celebrated mao's policy to nationalise all the enterprises and private property, but later once the former poor ppl become rich, they are the same as their former rich enermies, privatisation and capitalism are never dead in ppl's mind even after the formation of the new china. dear mao mao, i know you're very clear-minded despite u tend to express only 1/3 of your entire thinking :P. but there're ppl in hk who only have anger and slogans and i dont know who's their "target audience" or they are just having an anger demonstration show to make noise. i dont know what can we do besides anger and street shows?
