Subject: Hi All

It's been sooo very long since I've been here so you guys might not remember me! So much has changed! Congrats to Dax on the engagement and Lynn, good luck to you with the big move!
Seems like people here have knowlege of long distance moves so I hope you guys can help me! My boyfriend and I have decided, after many trips to Orlando, that we want to relocate from Philly to Orlando by January, or my birthday in March. What is the best way to prepare for a move like this? I don't want to contact any apartments if we don't have jobs lined up, but then I don't know how to go about applying for jobs without having a place to live. Its been so frustrating for me. Does anyone have any tips? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks so much!

Hi Kirah! Congrats on your decision. What about something like a Residence Inn, or similar kind of place? I think many people do that temporarily when moving here without a job--or while they're searching for a home after a job relocation. There are lots of resident hotels with weekly or monthly rates all over the Orlando area. I'm sure you could find them easily with an online search. Be sure and also do a search through tripadvisor.com, and read the traveler reviews and forums about individual hotels--these are mostly vacation travelers, but you can at least find out if the hotels you're interested in are recommended by people who have stayed there.
