  • She tipped her head a little, watching him with that almost childish innocence. "Lacey... who are you?" She wasn;t exactly angelic- but she;d never gotten into trouble. She was smart too, she had good grades and a lot of perseverance. She was pretty stable despite their fucked up home life. Their father had left when she was about sevenand their mother had become a violent alcoholic, the boys had protected her from it- their mother had then 'accepted jesus christ as her personal saviour' and had gone on this deep spiritual; thing of right and wrong... things had been better then- but it was all just laying under the surface- when the boys got caught it had all come out again- the drinkiing- the abuse- and Lacey had had to take all of it alone.
