Subject: Perhaps because he was the only person who she had ever wanted to want her, she hadn't believed it, but had only dreamed of it. At his question, she paused for a moment, unsure if she should apologize, or just not say anything, or say that she knew - though she truly hadn't. For whatever reason and despite his admissions that he cared for her, she just had not believed that he, as special as he was, would ever even think like that. The tip of her tongue touching her lips, she turned her gaze up to him wordlessly, her fingers slipping down to spread against his chest.
