Oprah's show left me filled with tremendous guilt!! The best thing I can do for Emma Kelly is get along with her daddy and allow him to see her a lot. The divorce decree says I only have to let him see her like 2-4 hours a week, but we've never gone by that. We do what works for us on a week by week basis. And I never deny him when he asks to see her. I'm very thankful that he wants to be a huge part of her life.

So! In your case, I would recommend making whatever gesture you have to do to let your ex know that he is welcome to see the kids. Make the phone calls. Remind him of birthdays and special events. Do whatever you can and if he falls short, that's his loss, as well as the children's. But, at least you will have a clear conscience that you have done everything you can to make him a part of your children's lives. And when your kids grow up, they'll recognize your efforts.
