All of the phototoppers that I made for McKenzie are forsale as of now. We had our photo shoot today and are ready to sell. Click on the banner and go to the examples page. All are forsale except the red and white gingham checked one and that was made for someone else. I will sell them for $15 a piece since she has worn most of them today at her shoot. Some have never been worn, but I will still sell for $15.

Also forsale that I didn't make:
18 month Children's Place Leopard print jacket. Great for photo shoots. $15

2T hot pink fleece photo shoot jacket with matching beret $20

24 month HWB Baby Aspen with matching hat and some extra material you could use to make a headband out of $45

12-18 month periwinkle blue princess style crowning dress with matching headband $20

3T Lil Attitudes Dress with matching jacket (jacket nwt, dress worn one time for about 30 minutes. $100

24 month prelim/state level swimwear pink with light yellow trim, 18ss jonquil rhinestones and 12ss ab's $25

I don't have pictures of the above outfits, but I can scan them if anyone is interested. The baby aspen can be seen on the Hollywood Babe, Inc. website. The lil attitudes dress can be seen on www.pageants and more.com. It's orange with pink and green flowers outlined in gold beads. The jacket is green with gold beads mixed in.

Thanks,
Andrea

Well...We went to Pageant Camp last year and had an absolute blast. We flew there and had to ship home our winnings in a huge box! The prizes were awesome...toys, cash, bicycles, and the usual robes, trophies, and crowns! There were about thirty pageant systems represented and each time you went on stage, you had the opportunity to enter about 5 pageants. Different pageant types are also represented, from "no fake" to "total package!" Of course you had to pay for each pageant also. The cheapest one was $15 and the most expensive was $75, I think. There were also door prizes and vendors and refreshments and the best emcee, Mr. Tim. We are planning on going back, and I highly recommend it! Hope to see you there. Pageant Hugs! Heather, mom to Taylor and Maddy-bug.

Holding her at 2 1/2 is a bad idea. We have competed at many HT pageants so we have a pretty good idea of what they look for. Most kids are on stage alone at 2 and a half (depending on the system). By 3 they are definitely on their own. Most moms would agree. She should hit the center X alone with you standing behind her. If she stills wants to be carried then you mght consider taking a break until she is a bit more confident.

Being carried at 2 1/2 is a very bad idea! I would take a break if you can not at least get her to walk holding your hand. Try putting some x's on the floor in a T and practice at home (then when she sees them at the pageant she will know exactly what to do! My daughter went through the same thing and we thought about taking a break but then I tried this and it works! But you have to practice on a regular basis not just the day before the pageant! (It also helps to put her in her pageant dress when you do this so that she knows that this is "playing pageant" at least that is what we call it - and then the day of the pageant we tell her that we are going to play pageant somewhere! Also, we have gotten to where when she is in the pageant dress at a pageant she walks the whole time we don't pick her up and carry her before and in between events this gets them used to the idea in pageant attire we are big girls and we walk!! If all of this doesnot work then I would definitely take a break! I hope that this all helps!

Hello, we are new to pageants, my daughter is 3 and has done a couple preliminaries. The last one I had her in I thought I had her in a fancy dress, real full and cute however others were in some real glitsy dresses, their hair done real nice and very professional pictures done up. I felt very intimidated. Now she is going to be in another pageant, a National this May. I want to be prepared, should I get her a pageant coach ? Is the dress being real glitsy important? If anyone has any advise I would appreciate it, I just want to be prepared this time. Thank you

Before you jump into spending on a coach, you should get the attire and photo's first. You can teach a routine to a 3 year old practice everyday or if you have the money spend it on a weekend class have it taped and she can practice from that.
When attending a national you need to have a total package child, granted you want it to be fun, but you also want to be some sort of competion towards the other girls. If I could suggest, try to buy a dress with all or mostly to all rhinestones, you can go to consignment board's and find one or call some designer's, some have good/resonable prices some even have payment plans. (if you go to a designer, make sure you order NOW, don't wait and expect one in two -3 week's, it just don't happen)
Sportswear, you need one that it glitzy too, don't be fooled into buying something outdated, once again try to find one mostly to all rhinestones, or have one custom made. Usually designer's give a discount to you if you buy two or more items at the same time.
casual wear and fitness wear, school wear or whatever else can be bought at your local mall (but at nationals I would have the casual wear cutom made)
OK well I have ran down the list I hope this helps

I completely agree - do not spend money on a coach if you don't have the attire! The attire and pics are much more important! They are going to be looking for the "overall package"As for the casual wear - I think that there are way too many great stores that carry casual wear that have the custom made look to them you just have to be creative when you are shopping. I have never had a custom made casual wear and we have always won state and national level (in the south. Go the the consignment boards there are soo many good ones out there email me and I will tell you where I have had the most luck!! That way you don't have to pay outrageous amounts especially because you are going to be getting the whole waredrobe out once! Good luck!!!
