DO NOT dryclean it.

If it's airbrushed, you need to find out whether they used a watersoluble paint. If they did, and you wash it, the color may run.

If it is a solid color, you can wash it in the bathtub. Use plenty of water to be able to swish the dress around gently, and use a mild detergent, like woolite, or ivory snow. Rinse it gently, and stuff it with towels so that it sits up like it's on a mannequin to dry. Never ever hang wet superstretch, it will stretch out of shape. When it's dry you can iron the skirt on very low heat if needed, or you can use one of those steamer things to get any wrinkles out. Good luck!

You can also place in upside down on a lampshade (no lamp) to dry and this will help to keep the fullness of the skirt

I have put the board on moderated due to some very sick woman who has been bashing me, my husband and my child for days now. They made a whole board to bash me and I got mad and responded because they kept talking about my looks and saying my child looked like she had old peoples disease and is ugly, etc. I did get angry and respond probably not in the best way but now of course they removed all of the posts they made and left mine and then come here and say go look at what Wendy did. I am just letting oyu know in case you were wondering but now I have ot moderate so they will stop posting on my board.

Pearls are not OUT! That is just something someone starts to try to make a FAD!!! My daughters dress has some pearls and has always won! Do you think that a judge is going to look at their dress and say "Oh no she has PEARLS on that dress, how dare she, she doesn't deserve a win"??? I think not! lol!

I am in the south and yes pearls are OUT OUT OUT. And yes, circut judges will do just that, mark off if your dress is out of fashion. The seed pearls and seed beads are in but the regular pearls are a big NO NO. I would not pay any amount of money with a dress that has pearls unless they can come off easily and rhinestones replace them.

Hi, I guess it really depends on where you plan on competing. We are in the South and pearls are very very much outdated, And yes if you show up with a dress that is LOADED with pearls and you will get knocked and someone with high glitz rhinestones will win. If you plan on doing a Natural pageant you may be able to get by with pearls. My advise to you is If you are in love with the dress, buy it and if she doesn't do well you can always add stones to it. It is you're opinion that really matters (but we all want to come home with the big crown) LOL, Remember though if you are competing somewhere up north or anywhere else but here you may not get knocked for pearls, we only compete down here and I dont know what is in or out up around their neck of the woods lol.

Hi! I am selling candles for my daughters to help raise money to go to a national pageant. The fundraiser is only for 2 weeks starting now and ending on the 15th of Feb. This is a legitiment fundraiser and if you like I can give you the name and email of the lady that provided me with the fundraiser kit.

The first type of candle is a Mini Spoon Jar Candle. Each spoon jar candle comes in a unique piece of hand turned pottery. There are six different pottery patterns. Each candle burns for about 70 hours. These sell for $15.

Design Scent Color

1. sunflower honeysuckle yellow
2. fruit mcintosh apple ivory
3. apple spiced apple burgundy
4. snowman cinnamon red
5. birdhouse mulberry burgundy
6. magnolia magnolia ivory
7. floral (my fav) french vanilla ivory

The second type is 10oz jar candle. These candle come in eleven different scents. Each candle burns for about 50 hours. These sell for $7.50

Scent Color

7. Grandma's sugar cookies ivory

I have a question for you ladies...What can I do to teach my daughter how to step turn? We've been working on it now for months, but she just can't seem to get it. She's 5 years old and can pro-am like nobody's buisness, but just can't seem to get her turns down. We don't do big pageants, so I hate to invest in a coach, so any suggestions??

I also have a pair of infants size 1 red cowboy boots. they look just like real ones, they even have had soles on them. only worn 1 time. I pd $30 for these new. Asking $10.

6-12 month flower costume, perfect condition, this is adorable. custom made. good for sunburst. $25

6-12 month denim western wear. good condition comes with shirt vest and skirt and petticoat. $25

size 2 infants black patten leather shoes with hard soles, worn 1 time. perfect condition. $5

also have size 1 and 3 black dress shoes with soft soles. $2 each

a few pair of sandles sizes 1 and 2, $2 each.

all this stuff is in great condition.

HI I am new to pageants and wanted to see what kind of dress is considered a crowning dress and do you need to wear one for all pageants? is it optional or what? My daughter is doing a valentines pageant and we have a regular pageant dress, but I thought about putting her in a cute red velvet dress with no sleeves for crowning.

A crowning dress is simply a less decorated,sleeveless beauty dress. In most cases they simply aren't necessary,just an extra expense. We have been in many pageants and even at the National level I personally have not seen any. It may be different in the south though. Many pageants are going to pageant T-shirts and shorts for crowning and not useing the beauty dresses,which are a lot more comfy for the little one's.Honestly,I don't think you need one.You spend a lot of money on your beauty dress so show-it-off!

I think crowning dresses are very important. They can range any where from a little Wal Mart dress to an actual pageant crowning dress. We pay way too much money for these beauty dresses to have our children sit for 2 hours in them, not to mention the complaining...lol I am in the south and if t shirts aren't worn then crowning dresses are. Crowning outfits now consists of pants as well. So you can go either way, but a definate need.

Hi, We have a crowning dress for the reason of ...we spend a lot of money on our dresses and Autumn started pulling on it and chewing at rhinestones. I think that they are important even at local pageants. Asp. those that don't crown until the end of the pageant. It might be an extra expense but it MIGHT save you money in the long run.

Ok ladies, my best friend needs some help. I sent some of you emails on this but I figured I would post here also. My best friends little girl is doing her first pageant. She needs a national level dress size 4/5 or 5/6 depending on the measurements, she also needs a glitzy sportswear and swimwear. She doesnt have time to get new ones made or does she want to spend a fortune seeing how it is her first pageant and not knowing whether her daughter would want to continue them or not. Please send me pics and prices of anything you have for sale, she doesnt have a computer yet. Please help her out. This was a last min thing and I know you ladies can help her.
